I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Jamie Macdougall on BBC Radio Scotland last night, as part of their Classics Unwrapped program. We spoke about my books, cultural representation, and I was able to select two tracks to be played as part of the program.
The first was 'Deep River', as performed by the Kanneh-Mason trio of Sheku, Isata and Braimah. The second was 'The Ballad Of The Spirits' by Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou, who features in the book 'Where Are All The Black Female Composers?'.
Here's a link to the show, but it's only available for the next 29 days. Apologies to any colleagues or friends from outside the UK who cant access it without a VPN. I'll try and find a way to make it available...
His approach to blending genres and reaching new audiences is inspiring. It made me reflect on how similar principles apply when preparing for a front end system design interview. Just like creating a unique music piece, mastering system design requires blending different concepts to craft something innovative and effective. For those aiming to improve their technical skills, platforms like Frontend Lead offer excellent resources to refine your understanding of system design and ace interviews.
